AAA Travel hosts its 2016 Vacation Expo in Wisconsin this weekend to help residents plan their next vacation while saving them money. A recent AAA study shows that nearly two-thirds (64%) of travelers are booking 7 months to 2 years in advance.

"The fact that travelers are booking so far in advance tells us that travelers are taking more expensive trips, and they want enough time to adequately plan for them," said Janet Fowler, Regional Travel Sales Consultant in Wisconsin, AAA - The Auto Club Group. "Despite improvements in the economy and low gas prices, saving money remains a top priority for many families. Travelers can get much more for their money by booking in advance."

AAA’s Vacation Expo is the place to find the best deals possible. AAA Travel will offer consumers day-of-show savings up to $500 on a new land vacation bookings or a shipboard credit of up to $500 on a new cruise reservations, in addition to any supplier offer at the event.

There will be 19 travel partners at the free event, highlighting cruises, tours, and custom vacations centered on everything from adventure and elegance to multi-generational travel and family fun.

All of AAA’s travel counselors will be on-site to help consumers get the most savings on the best vacation to suit any budget. AAA's travel counselors are extremely knowledgeable on all travel topics from their years of experience and have prepared for record attendance at this year's event.
